(More customer reviews)I have two terriers with extremely sensitive skin, who love to get extremely dirty. I have been sold every prescription shampoo under the sun - every one of them have made my dogs itchier then before I used them.
My dogs have flea and environmental allergies, and although I do use very reputable topicals, it is still possible for a flea to bite them or the dry grass to cause them to itch. Kelco Bubble Neem dog shampoo is the only shampoo I will use on my dogs. It is rich and soothing. The scent is light and lovely. My dogs are not at all offended by the scent (many shampoos incite a "must roll in the stinkiest thing I can find to cover up this wretched smell" reaction from them. Not Kelco Bubble Neem - they don't even seem phased that they've had a bath (other then the fact that they are no longer itchy, and are much more comfortable in their skin).
This is a professional product and must be used according to directions, which means diluting first. Bear in mind that once diluted, you should use the solution within a week to 10 days before it starts to break down. Honestly, I love it so much, that I use it on my own hair for the week or so after I mix it up to finish the diluted portion off. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and is totally natural (no strange ingredients that I can't pronounce).
I only have to bath my dogs once/month now, usually the week before I apply their Frontline or Revolution. If they get really itchy in between their regular baths (which is far less common since I've been using bubble neem), I know a 5 minute bath in the bubble neem will fix them right up. As gentle and soothing to their skin as it is, it is strong enough to get rid of the dirtiest/stinkiest mess my terriers have managed to get into so far. Remember to leave it on for at least 5 minutes after lathered up to reap the maximum benefits. My dogs and I love this product!
