(More customer reviews)We have hard water deposits in our area. I have to scrub the toilet daily. Even then, it is difficult to keep the deposits from building up. The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Toilet Cleaner helps reduce the amount of scrubbing needed. I can actually go a few days without having to worry about deposits.
However, it still isn't worth the money for these reasons:
1. It isn't eco-friendly. You have to get refills. Our recycling company won't take the discarded packs.
2. It costs too much and you have to keep buying refills. Add up the money you're spending and you can find a more economical way to keep the toilet clean. However, if it was very inexpensive I would consider using this regularly.
3. Noise and some malfunctions. Although it is not supposed to come on when someone is sitting on the toilet, we had our share of surprises (although rare). If you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and have a light sleeper, this is a definite problem.
All in all, I think this toilet cleaner needs improvement as well as a more realistic price.
I also wanted to add that we got excellent results by using a scrubbing brush to loosen deposits in the toilet and then leaving vinegar (the kind recommended for cleaning) for about an hour or two in the toilet tank. Add enough vinegar to reach major rings or lime deposits in your toilet. This is a far cheaper and very effective method for us. It may well work for you as well.
