(More customer reviews)I have found it difficult to find a plastic seat with a sturdy metal hinge. We always seem to be replacing ours because plastic hinges break and wooden seats loose their finish due to cleaning chemicals. I love this seat! Yes, it's pricey, but it looks pretty cool with the bubbles (which the photo doesn't really do justice). I've had it about a month and I'm confidant enough in the quality that I purchased a couple bathroom accessories to match it.
