As I found the glasses to be quite structurally delicate (i.e. easily breakable) I keep this somewhat pricy pitcher on the top of the cabinets, just for looks. If that's what you would be inclined to do with it, it is attractive, nice size and fairly heavy.
I'm concerned about the pitcher's longevity, given the experience I had with the matching glasses.
