(More customer reviews)I purchased the four-quart version in the vivid orange color as I wanted something noteworthy to transport and serve my holiday side dish I was taking to a dinner party. While the high handles make it a bit more difficult to fit into the oven or microwave, it did just fit into my friend's smaller-size microwave as I needed to reheat it just a bit--and it's a rather whimsical piece that is sure to start conversation. While it can't be used on the stovetop, the fact that it can go into the freezer, the microwave, and the oven is a big plus--and the fact that it comes with a lid made it even handier though I wrapped a sheet of foil over the top of the casserole before putting the lid on for transport. A set of the various other pieces in this range would be a great gift for a cook or a treat to add to one's own kitchen.

Prepare baked ziti or shepherd\'s pie in this 2-3/4-quart Casserround, a covered, round casserole baking dish from Rachael Ray\'s Bubble and Brown collection. Not only does the casserole succeed in the oven, but its colorful glaze and stylish design also livens up the dinner table as a serving dish for hot dishes or cold salads alike. Crafted in vitrified, high-fired stoneware, the covered casserole\'s nonporous glaze prevents residual stains or odors while the strong construction resists chips and cracks. The versatility of stoneware renders the dish and its dome lid safe for use in the microwave, freezer, dishwasher, and oven, sustaining temperatures up to 500 degrees F. To transfer steaming stews from the oven to the table, the body of the casserole flares out at opposite sides to offer two easy-to-grasp handles with cutout oval holes two wide oval handle holes. The dome lid fits into the casserole just below its handles, containing the contents\' heat, moisture, and flavor.
