Here's why: the "kit" contains (1) a padded quilt cover (what you see in the picture), (2) some padding material that as far as I can see is the same stuff you use to wrap crockery if you are moving ("windblock foam liner" indeed...) and (3) a roll of sellotape that doesn't stick. Having "assembled" my cover (using my own tape), I can still feel the cold air rushing in whenever the wind blows. So that makes a nonsense of the "Seal your air conditioner in winter to prevent heat loss" statement: if I can feel the cold wind coming in, the heat is definitely going out.
My previous do-it-yourself solution was to place a layer of bubble wrap over the AC, held in place by some elastic - it was far more effective than this contraption, and far cheaper.

It even cleaned up the debris off the bottom without even vacuuming the pool! I highly recommend this pump to anyone tired of messing with the under powered pumps that come with the easy set pools. Caution should be used around children however, as this pump could cause a suction hazard.

Riedel Vinum Champagne/Prestige Cuvee Glasses, Set of 6 Review

(More customer reviews)After we bought a pair of these to replace some older Champagne flutes, one use sent us running back to the store to stock up - it's now the only stem we use. The shape is classic, elegant and has a nice weight - balancing delicacy with just enough sturdiness to feel reassuring. We've found that with some other stemware we've owned, our guests feel a little hesitant to handle the slender stem. I know from experience that hand-washing makes me pretty nervous after snapping the stem off some fine but too-delicate pieces. These, on the other hand, have just the right heft without sacrificing any of their "crystal" character.
The best part of all is that every glass creates a little ring of bubbles at the surface right in the middle of the glass (when it sits still for a moment). Apparently they've designed the glass to do just that. We also find that with richer, more aromatic Champagnes these glasses do a very good job of showcasing the nose of the wine.

Kenroy Home 21056WH Glover Table Lamp, Gloss White Ceramic Review

(More customer reviews)Really, this is one of the most beautiful lamps I have owned.
The proportions of the base to shade are wonderful, which is the first thing that usually puts me off about lamps that arrive packaged with shades. This shade, too, was beautifully finished: no hanging threads or little scrapes. The shade is off-white, even a dark off-white (but not beige, at least in my brain's color catalog), NOT stark white. For me, the off-white is a little more forgiving of our Front Range dust (or the un-dusted dust of my living room!).
The base, itself, I find captivating. Ours is on a dark table in between two "butterfly" chairs. At least we call them butterfly chairs. Although these are from the 1950s, I doubt our nomenclature because I can't find any images on the Web that resemble ours. Nevertheless, with the open-wire, rounded shape of the chairs, by my "lights", this lamp is perfect. Our living room now needs a bit of catching up to this eye-catching base: either simple, simple or fussy-fussy. Other than those chairs, the rest of the room is middle-middle, which isn't a great fit for this lamp.
Another thing that would not be a great fit is lots of rowdies racing playfully around. The base is pretty narrow; the shade is pretty wide. Tip City, anyone? I have a feeling that even a mild -- say, less than 3.0 -- earthquake would be a sad event here. I think I might try a way of anchoring the lamp underneath. Frankly, I don't want to find out whether it will work.
One more thing. You might want to check the dimensions of the lamp for your space. The lamp doesn't tower (or loom) like so many lamps, but I think it would be a bit large for a nightstand. Not checking this out might cause a disappointment, I think.
The packaging worried me because the box was so compact relative to the lamp size. It was a relief to see that packing material studier than the ubiquitous air-pillows had been cunningly wedged around the lamp and shade. Everything seems to have been in perfect condition, including the little wooden globe that serves as a finial.
This lamp appeals to a particular taste. If that retro-modern taste is yours, too, this might work for you.

(More customer reviews)When these glasses arrived, I first thought they were absolutely beautiful when I began unpackaging them.
However, as I began to place them on the countertop, I noticed they looked a bit off. On closer inspection, I noticed an occasional small air bubble in the wall of the glass, which I guess might be expected since they're advertised as "mouth blown" crystal. The other thing I noticed was that the rims of the glasses were not level, and some of the glasses were not the same height. I don't mean that they were slightly unlevel either. Half of the glasses looked ok, but the other half had an obvious slant present in the rim of the glass. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Maybe with "mouth blown" glassware, this is to be expected, but I wasn't expecting it and sent them back. I replaced them with the Michelangelo Masterpiece series and couldn't be happier.

Litter Robot LRII ECO Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Gray Review

(More customer reviews)I LOVE the litter robot! I have owned two littermaids and I have had nothing but problems with the last one. After the warranty replacement stopped working after 6 months I started looking for something better and I found it. I purchased the newer bubble unit from the company directly--it gives the cats a bit more room to move around inside the globe--and within hours of setting it up my cats were using it.
I should back up a bit and explain a few things. First, I am a legally blind man who has two cats and a service dog. So, I love animals but I do not like dealing with a litter box. I am also retired from the Air Force where I was a crew chief on two different airframes. SoI have a mechanical background and know a quality built product when I see it--or in my case feel it, yes that is a blind joke and you can laugh--and this is a well made product and best of all it is built in America. The litter robot was amazingly easy to set up and use. I setup the product myself in moments since it comes already assembled and all you do is set the globe on the base, put in litter and plug it in. So, if a blind guy can handle it I would hope the rest of you can. After setup I left the littermaid there and the cats were still using it. The next morning I put the old box outside and put some cat nip in the globe to get the cats in it to check it out. I had taken some old litter and put it in the globe. After getting both cats in there it was smooth sailing from then on. The cats have been using it since without any troubles.
I should say my cats are not small by any means and they have no problems moving around in the globe and keep all their business where it belongs. The unit itself has a smaller footprint than a littermaid, though it is obviously taller. It is also nowhere as loud as either of my littermaids have been. I have been able to go 4 days between changing the trash bag. There is less litter on my floor because the littermaid allows litter to come out the sides and there was always litter the fell in between the box and the collection bin.
I am in litter box heaven. This is the greatest litter box ever. For all the negative remarks, if you really read them you will see that most of the complaints are not the fault of the product but problems related to the cat not keeping it's business inside the globe or the owner not introducing the product properly to their cats. I highly recommend this product. I am truly impressed with the design and that it does what it says it will do.
I would suggest purchasing directly from the manufacture since they have a 90 day return policy and Amazon's is only 30 days. But, honestly you should be able to figure out if your cats are going to use it in a week but 90 days is a nice cushion. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision.
