(More customer reviews)As of late, my husband has decided he likes ALL wine chilled - white AND red. It has driven me crazy watching him plop ice cubes into his glass of red wine. When I saw the Ravi Instant Wine Chiller at Amazon.com Ravi Instant Wine Chiller, I knew my prayers were answered! The Ravi chills wine perfectly. However, the Ravi is a little more complicated than it looks. It consists of 3 parts. The inner cartridge remains in the freezer so it's always ready to chill wine. It can chill many glasses of wine at a time. The drawback is that before you put it back in the freezer (regardless of whether you have filled/chilled 20 glasses of wine, or only 1, the Ravi must be taken apart, cleaned, and the cartridge dried before putting it back in the freezer. Because of this, my husband does not want to be bothered with it. As long as I am the one putting it together, taking it apart, washing, drying, and freezing it, my husband is happy.

(More customer reviews)While I've found the above mentioned 5 minutes to chill from room temperature down for drinking a bit optimistic (15 minutes is more accurate, if you also put the bottle with chiller in the freezer); there are few other viable ways of cooling a bottle down quickly that are this effortless. Slide the sleeve on (stick in freezer or not), wait, cork, and drink.
Besides this main feature, the chiller can serve two other purposes. First, after corking and pouring the first round of glasses, the chiller can serve in place of a more expensive metal bucket or crystal chiller, especially when it has a pleasing pattern or scene (most of these I have seen are a plain silver). Second, the chiller is great for bring bottles of white wine to friends' homes that you want to share immediately. Many people start with whites and if you are bringing a room-temperature white, it's annoying having to wait for it to chill in the freezer. Those 15-30 minutes may see your bottle passed over and forgotten. But with the Rapid Ice chiller, you can arrive with a bottle that's ready to drink immediately, even if traveling to your friends' took a while.

-Easy to Use: Although there are quite a few pieces that make up the Ravi Solution, it is actually very easy to use.
-Effective: Instantly drops the temperature of any wine by 10F-15F bringing it to a more enjoyable drinking temperature.
-Versatile: Useful in the summer months when red wines at room temperature approach 80F (to bring them down to the mid-60s) -or- if you have a single temperature wine refrigerator set at 55F to drop the temperature down to around 45F.
Cons:
-A little pricey: This is definitely a convenience item and similar results can be attained with a little time in the fridge. However, I've found it quite useful and I'm glad I own one.

A simple, efficient, instant, and easily portable wine cooler, the Ravi does away with the need for ice buckets or refrigeration. Simply insert the Ravi into the bottle neck as you would a cork, and pour. The wine is chilled instantly as it passes through an inner, frozen stainless-steel tube. (More customer reviews)Quite cool I think. Perfect for those cold rum concoctions of summertime. Sure, it's pretty expensive as an ice cube tray, but it's got a high novelty factor. Pair it with a good Easter Island drink and you have a new tradition in your home.
My recommended drink for these ice cubes:
"Pisco on the brainstem"
5oz Pisco (duty free shops in South America have the cool Moai bottles for much less than any US liquor stores)
3oz Fresh lime juice
2tsp Cane Sugar (Maui sugar is best)
1oz Limoncello (or Orangecello)
2oz Lemon sour mixer
Pour over Maoi ice cubes. Top with 151 rum.

(More customer reviews)I just bought this blender from Costco about 2 weeks ago. Its base is all black though, not stainless steel, and I love it. We had an Oster beehive for about 3 years and then the little metal part on the base that the jar fits over just broke one day. So I started looking at reviews for one that made smoothies really good and I was looking at the Oster Fusion, but then I saw this one at Costco that basically had the same features, at least the reverse blending mode. We have made shakes and smoothies in it with the frozen drink method and it makes them perfect without having to stick a spoon down in and mix it around (we had to do that with the beehive), I will update when I have had it longer, but so far we love it!!

Jokari Fizz-Keeper Pump & Pour Review

(More customer reviews)Very simply, I bought two of these during the Holidays for stocking stuffers. Each recipient said that the item broke within 2-3 weeks. The concept is great but the actual product is made from very thin plastic. Both times the product broke at the hinge, rendering it useless.
I called the Seller (Organize-Everything.com) and was told that they are unable to go beyond their 30 day replacement or return policy. Well, I am rather relentlous, and as a matter of principle I called the manufacturer. The manufacturer (Jokari) explained that they received a batch of defective product. They were very helpful and are sending the replacements.
No stars for the seller because they did not want to be bothered with having to replace a defective product that they knew was defective from all the phone calls they have received in the past months, and instead made me do all the leg work.
There is also something to be said about those of us who do early Holiday shopping in November, and are shut out by many sellers because the gift is not given until 30 days after purchase.

(More customer reviews)It is a cool piece of glassware, but unlike the picture shows, it is one solid cavity, so that would be a HUGE Shot, but I digress. Like anything in Barware I like the unusual, and this fits the bill. It was solid enough glass, I just though the base was solid glass and only the top was a shot glass. But as the description states it is a 'Chaser Jigger shot' So pour beer in and layer in the Whiskey.. Or just use as a shot glass.
Overall Happy and I have a unique piece of barware.

Gave sets to our friends and the skins have been used for everything including mustards, spices, liquors and tequila. Definitely wine sized only, will not fit champagne or sparkling wine bottles. As long as it fits inside, you're good to go.
