(More customer reviews)Got this pump when they installed our pool in 2000. Pump still works but the coating on electrical cord on top of pump is coming off and a safety issue. I was curious about the reviews that said their pump lasted a winter. We use several pumps for our construction company & no pump will last if it is allowed to freeze. These pumps are meant to be placed in the water & cover pumped off & then pump taken out. That is how we used ours in the winter & as I stated it lasted 8 years.
