A very good cooking appliance, but I gave it 4 start not 5 start, here is why.
I bought a Secura turbo oven a while ago from their website because they offer extended warranty. It is a perfect cooking appliance, and then we noticed there is a similar Flavorwave oven that selling at slightly higher price with less standard accessories. There must be something on Flavorwave oven that makes good even better. But to our surprise, when we received our Flavorwave oven, we immediately realized there are 3 features missing from Secura turbo oven.
First, there is no extender ring; we need to buy it separately which cost extra $30-40. Seems like this is a problem that can be settled by spending more, not sweet, but I can live with it.
Second, the Secura turbo oven has a handle safety button. You need to push the button and then lower the handle to turn on the oven heating. So it does not accidently turn on when you do not intend to. The Flavorwave Oven does not have this feature. When the handle bar is in down position, the oven turns on. Imagine you set your oven top aside after done with cooking, and definitely do not want the oven to heat again which is impossible to happen with Secura oven's safety button. This safety feature is very necessary, I highly recommend to add this feature.
Third, on the Flavorwave oven, the power cord is permanently connected on the oven top, but Secura turbo oven has a detachable power cord. We have been using Secura Turbo oven to cook and serve on dinner table. When the meal is cooked, just remove the oven top and unplug the power cord. It is convenient and do not have to worry about stepping on the power cord by accident. Just a small detail on design that can make a big difference. Flavorwave oven's platinum model 797DH has the detachable power cord design though if you have interests.
Other than these a few difference, Flavorwave and Secura oven are very alike, the craftsmanship, the heavy duty glass blow, wire rack cad power cord, even the parts # printed on the halogen bulb. Then I was told by customer service, that these two are the same manufacturer only the model #s are different. Flavorwave's 767MH vs. Secura's 777MH. Flavorwave's Platinum 797DH vs. Secura's 798DH.
Having these said Flavorwave oven cooks very well. It does best to cook your food crispy outside and juicy inside. Secura turbo oven is a newer model, but the core technologies are the same as Flavorwave oven. Had I do not know Secura turbo Oven, I would have given Flavorwave oven a 5 star.

Cook dinner in a fraction of the usual time with the Flavorwave Turbo Oven. Using a combination of halogen heat, infrared waves, and convection cooking, this portable countertop unit works with both fresh and frozen foods (no defrosting or preheating necessary) and removes fat and oils for healthier eating. Add on the accessory set, sold separately, and it performs even more oven jobs like pizza cooking as well as stovetop tasks such as grilling, frying, and steaming. Easy-to-use controls on top provide simple operation, and the clear glass bowl lets the chef keep an eye on cooking progress. For added convenience, the oven may be set to self-clean or placed in the dishwasher.
